美国哥伦比亚大学欧文医学中心2020年博士后招聘(器官生物工程方向)

A fully funded postdoctoral position is available immediately at the Columbia Center for Human Development (CCHD) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York. The group led by Dr Munemasa Mori is a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on all aspects of organ generation such as stemness, differentiation, development, and transplantation.

The lung is one of the most complex organs to regenerate. Current bioengineering technologies utilizing three-dimensional printers and decellularization-recellularization have had limited success. We recently established an experimental basis of lung generation in vivo (Mori et al., Nature Medicine, 2019). Our goal is to advance our cutting-edge organ bioengineering technology to ultimately generate human respiratory organs for disease modeling and autologous lung transplantation in vivo. These transplantable lungs could have the potential to save many lives. As part of our team, your knowledge and research experience could be the contribution we need to achieve our goals. Your project will largely focus on advancing our technology for respiratory organ generation in vivo by pioneering a new genome-editing approach.

Experience with animal handling, mouse and human pluripotent stem cell cultures, and single-cell level genome-wide analyses, is not essential but is preferred.

Experience with genome-editing is essential.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. or M.D. degree is required. A minimum commitment of 3 years is required.

If you are highly self-motivated, cooperative, dedicated and have excellent communication skills, please apply now.

Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is a pioneer in the field of lung transplantation. Here, researchers work collaboratively across specialties and divisions to address some of the biggest challenges in assessing disease modeling and fundamental treatment for incurable respiratory diseases using lung stem cells. A strong network of research support services and facilities allow faculty, postdocs, and support staff to explore the boundaries of what is possible, leading to significant breakthroughs. We are driven by our mission to improve treatment for refractory lung diseases, and transform the delivery of care through fully integrated, globally recognized research, education, and innovation.

Please submit your application to Dr. Mori with the following information: A cover letter, a CV, and contact details for three referees.

THE POSITION IS GRANTFUNDED.

The position will remain open until filled. For full consideration, please apply by July 14th, 2020 (EST).

The Mori Lab is a newly established, cutting-edge lab at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC).
